March blues

It's been such a long long time since my last post and now, I have so much to catch up with D: first and foremost, for those of you who don't know and don't believe, yes it's true I did score straight A's for my SPM. There was too much celebration and excitement in the hall that none of us managed to snap any pictures of the jubilant atmosphere. I managed to pakat with my cousin who also scored straight A's to makan besar at Renaissance Melaka Hotel in celebration of our results.

raja and pemaisurinya

yummy food :D

the whole gang

Moving on, last week was simply one of the best weeks of my life as I spent time with Timmy, Jon Yang and Eliza the hairy troll when they came to Klang. After Jon Yang left for Singapore, I stayed on with Timmy and Eliza in Joan's place, having fun and bonding with them so close that it hurt me so much to see them leave on their last day. I miss you guys so much and I really hope to meet soon, so do make a trip up this coming June yeah? :D

sobs..

We spent a lot of time talking, and getting to know each other better. Watching movies(AND GLEE) till the wee hours of the morning. Having pillow talks and sharing our tales and adventures. I do enjoy the quality time and memorable moments we had together during this one week. Btw Timmy, don't forget to bring more seaweed next time :P

MOVING ON 8D

Birthday posts! First up, we have Krystle!
I've yet to know her too well and the same goes for her, but as she said, we're trying (:
as for now...I know that...

she is one of the "Flower Girls"(DUH)

she likes burying people alive

she is talented in mimicking facial expressions

she aspires to be Jane

she is as scandalous as Joan, although nowhere near

and she may one day take Arsie's place :D

Happy birthday Krystle! We'll get to know each other better in due time! God bless C:

We also have...

Christine!

Aihh, what can I say about this girl. There's just too much for me to write in one post, so I'll just have to say all that I can in 10 sentences.

1. She helped me see the world through her eyes
2. She calls me ahpek
3. She knows all my secrets
4. She likes pinching cheeks(evidence below)
5. She eats three times my normal portion
6. She never grows fat
7. She's absurdly brilliant
8. She has been the closest friend I have since I knew her
9. She does not allow me to pay for her meals
10. She belongs to Joan and me

As I previously said,

she likes pinching cheeks..

very much..

as we all clearly know, she's one of the flower girls too :D

happy birthday Christine.
I know this is a short post, but if I were to write all I can about you,
even the skies won't suffice,
the hours won't last,
my fingers will break.

you're my most wonderful friend.
God bless you.

lovin' life as it should

Have been enjoying my past few days in Klang with Joan and Bryant along with LAP youths, Jon Yang, Eliza and Timotheus. And I must say, I'm going broke soon even after getting a token of congrats from my grandma D: as usual, we had a Sunway outing where we were joined with Patrick, Krystle, Christine, Cedric, Justin and Ern Shern. After gathering the group up, we headed to Mr Teppanyaki for lunch and skating, as usual and once more, I failed to execute the reverse skate perfectly ))): I was busy practising and I didn't notice that everyone else has left the rink. Lo and behold, I didn't notice Christine was knocking on the glass panel beside me and asking me to get out ))): we went for Starbucks then where Ern Shern kindly treated the ladies for a cuppa coffee, and we gave Joanie her b'day gift which was a volleyball signed on by everyone :D while the others had their own stuff to do and tuition to attend, poor Christine had to wait for her bro to come pick her up. Looking into her pitiful eyes, how la can I not accompany her? xD well, we went for Sakae Sushi where we had the best of what the menu can offer, sashimi, soft-shell crabs and whatever we wished for :P we then took a good walk to the cinema where we got 2 tickets for Alice in Wonderland which turned out to be quite a boring movie in our opinion. Instead of focusing on the movie, Chris was more keen on correcting my 'lady-like' sitting position :P after shopping we headed to the main entrance to wait for Sam and what a surprise it turned out to be when I met up with Kin Mun and Joel Chua along with their gang of 'straight-A's' students. As they headed for Tony Romas we headed for home after a long and tiring day C:

I'm waiting for Timo to wake up now btw = =" pigg.

..and after 3 weeks I will be risen from the dead..

Yes, your prayers have been answered and once more the long wait it over. Well if I continue posting about Singapore, my entire CNY and KL trip will be left out! So, in short..

1. We had a good time in SG
2. We had a very good time in SG
3. We had a very very good time in SG

For more info on what we've done, do check out Jonah's pictures on Facebook.

It's the time where little kids like you have been waiting for! Little kiddies eagerly anticipating their slips of brand new, cold hard, spanking hot cash packed in little red envelopes. It comes only once a year and how sad it is to see it go again. CNY has been a time where we reunite with old acquaintances, long lost relatives and annoying cousins. With my 10 fingers and toes, I could count how many cousins I have i bet eunice cant. Anywaaaay, CNY fell on a Sunday and we received our first angpaos after worship. Mei Mae was like a toll lady where she stood at the exit of the church building so no one would miss her. I was rather NOT surprised to see Bro Robert Ong wearing a new shirt on CNY. He then told us how much each apparel he donned costed.

Shirt-RM 10
Pants-RM10
Singlet-50 sen
Shoes-RM 5
Everything-made in China

This is what you get from the most humble man on earth! So for those of you(including me) who go for CNY shopping every year, why not try cheap made in China products? :D

Upon arriving home, I was greeted by a sea of relatives. It's a custom of my family for all the relatives to meet at my grandma's home. There were plenty of pictures taken and they're all up for views here and here. Over the next few days, many angpaos have I received, much food have I taken, many friends have I met, many loved ones reunited. Truly, it's the festive season of the year that makes every year complete and memorable.

KL TRIP
(I'm always going to KL am I?)

Followed my cousin back to PJ after CNY and stayed at his house for a day before I took the train to Shah Alam station for bible class. Unfortunately, my plans to put up 2 nights at Christine's place had to be changed as her mom was sick :_( so in the train to Shah Alam I rang up my good ol' auntie, Jessica! She gladly received my request and arranged for me to stay a night at her place. 5 mins later she called back and told me..

"Eh Alvin..my relatives suddenly came to my house to stay arr..sorry wei.."

Okaay, now I'm homeless and have nowhere to go. But thankfully, Bro Eng kindly hosted me for a few days. The next day was the highlight of this trip where a Subang-KK outing was organized by Joel Lee from Aus(I'm always going for trips am I?). I was pretty shocked upon finding out the Klang youths weren't invited lol but anyhow, we had a rather large group that day. As usual, we went for skating. Met up with Sue May and Sandra at the rink. Apparently, it was Jess' first time skating(I think) so she did the wall-hugging ritual as everyone did on their first time :P after A LONG LONG TIME we managed to get her off the wall to skate with us. I kept using the quotation, "Confucious say, the thousand mile journey begins with the first step! SO COME OFF THE WALL NOW!" and "imagine I'm Jesus and I'm calling you to walk on the ice to me like He asked Peter to walk on water...now Jessica, come to me!" hahaha, we had a good time skating. We also had the usual kacauing moments where Benjamin Wong deliberately messes up Eunice's hair so she would get all frustrated like a trussed turkey. After an hour or so, some of us had to leave for the Valentine's Day movie as we opted NOT to watch Percy Jackson. Sam, Kelly, Steph Yeow, Jess, Sean, Eunice and myself stopped by Subway to tapau(smuggle) food into the cinema :P trust me, VD is SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT WHINEY PERCY JACKSON. We had a good laugh and many touching and shocking moments.

"I know it's Valentine's Day and so you folks must be busy and all, so I'm gonna tell you guys what I came here to tell you guys..I'm gay" *EPIC GASP*

"Teenage love, full of hope, full of promises, ignorant of reality"

"I need love, I need romance, I need roses and I need it from you"
"You need Jesus"

"So it's come to end of Valentine's Day and let's have those 3 words everyone wants to hear...
LET'S GET NAKED"

Hahahaha, we indeed had a fun ride in the cinema watching VD on the big screen. Sam was squealing and hugging me everytime something stupid was about to happen like a woman walks into a room where a boy was practising his guitar without any clothes on. Surprisingly, Eunice was pretty silent during the movie :P we then went back to the cinema to pass Joel's tickets to him while Steph went on to play Para Para Paradise. I did not enjoy myself watching her strut her "stuff" and do her "thing" lol. The loud and pounding music was too much for me to bear as well so Eunice and I decided to take a walk lol(Steph had 3 more tokens left to play PPP)
We later had the usual session of bowling where we put our physics and maths to good use. Jess, Eunice and I did the "masuk longkang" ritual where we will laugh at ourselves and facepalm everytime the bola masuk the longkang. Sam and Sean were the pro ones on the alley getting lotsa spares and hits. Sadly, Sean and Jess had to leave halfway for a prearranged dinner. We were then joined by the rest of the group and went for dessert at Tutti Frutti. It was ridiculously expensive but tasty too. Eunice had her's splattered with gummy bears and nata de coco while the others stuck to the basic choc chips and oreo. What a good way to end a long long day.

Pictures here! I'm still waiting for the pictures from Pauline's cam btw :P

Chao!

KL trip report!

Aieesh, time flies when you're having fun, really it does. 5 days ago I took a bus up to KL and 5 days later I've done(AND SPENT) so much. Life is good, after SPM that is (:

Saturday
My bus left the station at around 8.30 and surprisingly, it reached the shores of Shah Alam at approximately 10.18 am and I sms-ed Christine at 10.13 telling her I just passed the toll and she replied I'll be at the station in 15 mins time. The following conversation took place at 10.19

Alvin: *ring ring* Hello? Christine ah, I reached the station already.
Christine: ???!!!
Alvin: Yeah, I'm at the station now..
Christine: ???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111...WHAT?
Alvin: You can come pick me up now.
Christine: Ok ok I come now..

Shortly after we left for Sunway Pyramid where we we're welcomed by Eunice, Christine, Allan, Krystle, Joan, Mun Wai, Ern Shern, Bryant and Patrick at the skating counter. For some reason, the shoes we're really tight that day and my feet hurt all the way but nonetheless we all had a great time skating. Wanted to do a 'train' but the skater guard didn't allow us to *sad face* soon returned home for some good rest and DOTA! Totally pwned everything, I mean EVERYTHING that stood in our way right sam? xD we then went for some mamak at a newly opened shop and watched MU vs Aston Villa live. Sad to say MU wasn't on their best that day as they lost 0-1 to Villa. Poor poor Fergie.

Sunday
After a very refreshing 4 hours of sleep, I went to the spanking new Kota Kemuning Church for worship. The bible class was conducted by Bro Tee on the lesson of overcoming trials and temptations. Sermon that morning was by Bro Lim Chan Koon, a very good lesson on becoming a Christian leader. Headed to some shop called We Take??! for lunch where they served a delicious serving of German Pork Leg and tofu :D later in the evening, we all went to pick Joanie up from the KTM station and went to the Fatty something something mee hook kueh shop for dinner. The best bowl of mee hooh kueh EVER I must say! We paid a visit to Bro John Quek;s house to pick up some bowls for the church. As expected, it was a nice and cosy place and we were greeted by both Ashley and Aevyn, oh yes I do remember you Aevyn xD

Monday
As planned, Joan, Christine and I decided to go to the gym for a good workout. We took a 30 minute walk and we we're denied entrance to the gym! The counter lady was like super strict and was flaming us all the way. So much for losing weight and getting 6 pax :p Sam kindly picked us up for lunch at a nearby food court and then we played chor tai di for like almost 2 hours! I personally made an achievement by winning 3 rounds *clap clap* Sam then ferried us to the KTM station where we met up with Bryant. Later that night I played DotA with Bry's friends as silentfarter92 not b0rnAlukard or DoWN^Divinity_| and these we're their reactions,

Kenny: To the person who is playing Bryant's character, we wanna rematch later..
Danny: This is not Bryant playing for sure..
Bryant: This is Joan playing la! xD

All in all, we had a good game and retired to bed later.

Tuesday
Another very eventful day unfolded as the gang once more headed over to Sunway Lagoon for a splashing good time together! Chye Leng, Joan, Bryant, Daryl, Ern Shern, Justin and Cedric met at around 10 or 11 and got our tickets. Christine then joined us (: the wet park was AWESOME! We rented 2 single tubes and 2 double tubes and headed over to the surf beach to get wet. We did all sorts lah, flipped tubes over, stacked tubes, joined them to make a raft, played the 'horseshoe' game and other maniacal stuff. Later, we decided to head on to the dry park for some thrills spills. Our first ride, a gigantic banana-shaped boat which travels 360* round it's axle. To be frank, I had some bad experiences with this monster but this time I simply had too much fun screaming my lungs out and yelling! xD we later went for other rides like super-fast-moving-cups, roller coasters, water slides, river rapids and the GIANT MAN-EATING SNAKE! This was the mother of all slides there, seriously you'd missed out too much if you have never sat on this baby in your life! The 'boat' took us up about 50 or 60 metres and zoomed us down so fast you couldn't finish yelling MOMMMIEE by the time you got down! Chye Leng later raced me to the water slide as one time for wasn't enough for adventure people like us xD Well, we all just had too much fun there I must say. Dinner at McD and a movie that night to end the day. Christine, Ern Shern and I couldn't join the rest for the movie as we had a cell group to attend in KK. Great songs, lessons and food I must say. I managed to meet the UBERCUTE David(uncle Yeow Kong's son) and he called me kong kong! Such a cutie la that little fella! Aunty Lily kindly fetched me back to Joan's place after the meeting.

Wednesday
Woke up late with a bengkak on my left knee and my right heel. Nothing much happened today, McD for lunch and here I am blogging while watching Joan snooze off on Bryant's bed (:

After all is said and done, I truly had a good time and there's more to come!
Will post the pictures soon :D

Toodles!

Belut pulang ke lubuknya

Yep, back home once more after a tiring but enjoyable trip to KL. I was lucky enough to be housed by the great Mei Mae who just returned from her long honeymoon in Singapore. Y'know she went for shopping and guess what she came back with. Nothing but FOOD. There were Roller Coaster Party Packs, Cheezels, chips of all sorts and tonnes of biscuits. Aiyoh, since last year she has been saying "I want to lose weight laaah" but sadly words speak louder than actions for her.
Great news guys, I'm officially qualified to teach you fellas on how to date and find a future spouse!
Had my courtship lessons by Bro Peter Chin in DU on Saturday
By the way, I wasn't supposed to be there, but thankfully Eunice sms-ed me last minute and told me a class was going on, so I dropped by and paid a visit.

Alvin : *Opens door* May I join you guys?
Bro Peter : Oh Alvin, nice to have you here. Yes you may if you promise to be nice to us.
Alvin : Oh sure I promise *smiles*
Eunice : *jaw drops*

That pretty much summarizes what happened in the first 10 seconds of the class.
Later on that night, I attended a class on parenting and communicating with teenagers. This class was NOT designed for people of my age group but I learnt a thing or two. Managed to meet Chloe(remember her? she's one of the professional artists that drew a portrait of me) and other DU members.
That's Saturday for you guys.

Sunday morning, woke up, brushed teeth and mandi kerbau-ed(the water was VERY VERY cold). I followed Mei Yean and Alvin Goh(quality product from SFI) to church to prepare the Lord's Supper but ended up talking rubbish with Penny, Yih Ting and Wen Liang.

Alvin : Hi auntie
Penny : *eyes opened wide* What did you call me?
Alvin : Auntie?
Wen Liang : Uh oh, Alvin you're supposed to call her sister la
Alvin : Oh, really? Okay, hi jie-jie.
Penny : *raises fist*

We're on good terms now, don't worry C:
Had the best church lunch after church once again and then went for badminton with Sam, Wen Kye, Wen Liang, Yih Ting and Brian. The men had their own game of shoutminton where every ball they hit has an "AHH" sound or a "URGHH" and when they miss a shot they go "AIYAAA!"
Yep, that's shoutminton for you.
Christine didn't come along as she was busy practising her rempit skeelz on the road C:
Went for steamboat later and confessed my only reason why I don't eat crabs.

I'm lazy to break them open.

So, I just sat and watched the Lim family rip, tear and destroy each limb the poor crab had. It was a sight to behold, trust me.
Andandand, later that night, DOTA MARATHON! But Sam had to sleep early coz he had classes the following day ):

Earlier today morning, I accompanied auntie Tina to pick Christine up from the rempit school. She passed apparently and kept on complaining and degrading the officers that tested her.

Example.
You know arh, got so many people doing the test at the same time..den when I doing the titi arh, they looking at the man doing the number 8..then they count my titi time wrong also..actually it's less den 7 seconds but then arh............blaaaaablablabla
Yep, that's Christine for you.

Boarded the bus at 1.15pm and left for old, rustic Melaka C:
