A new journey!

I officially embark on a new journey today...on Cecelia Ahern's masterpiece, the one and only..

Where Rainbows End!

So far, the book is pretty interesting though it has not captured my full attention and it's unique because the book is written in letters, save for the final chapter (:
I've heard many good things bout' this book and I hope I read what I hear (:
Btw, many thanks to Joshua Ng who allowed me to borrow his book!
Oh, btw, I'm still looking for PS I Love You (:

Chick flicker!

Yeah, as many of you know I am a big fan of chick flicks! Haha, it's now 2 am in the morning and I can't take my mind off a book I just finished, Remember Me? by none other than Sophie Kinsella!
Fantastic I must say, the words used to portray her characters and how she puts together the bits and pieces of the puzzle to help us see the whole picture (: lots of 'colourful' language used btw.
For now, I'm hungry for the two books recommended by someone namely, PS I Love You and Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern and also the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella (:
I will always remember this book (:

I want this one badly :/

So, if you guys and girls have any books to offer, please make it known to me A.S.A.P!!!
Thankiuuu! (:

I should be sleeping now btw, let's hope my mom doesn't get up, fingers crossed :p

don't tell her pleaseeee (:

KL trip!

I had a wonderful time with my friends and 'family' from the 19th to 22nd of March. It was a really good time of enjoyment and fun for me (: My thanks goes to Christine and family, who so willingly let me put up in her place for a few nights, Sam, who taught me A LOT bout bball and gave me a tonne of useful tips and of course my friends who hung out with us in Sunway Pyramid!

- 19th -
My bus left the Sentral station at around 8.30 and I soon arrived in Shah Alam station, awaiting the arrival of Christine to pick me up (: I soon took lunch and then headed off for basketball with Sam. We met up with Wen Kye and had a good game. I learn't that I still have a lot to learn (:

- 20th -
I woke up late due to over-DotAing last night with Sam and left for Sunway Pyramid to meet up with the gang. Those present were, Alvin(duh), Allan, Mun Wai, Christine, Joan, Krystle, Ern Shern, Jae Wen, Kevin, Samuel and Bryant. We had a slow but nice lunch at Sakae Sushi and then a dilemma of where to go next. The choices were,
1. Bowling( I opted for this coz I was bad at skating)
2. RedBox Karaoke, but it was booked till 3.30 pm
3. Skating, not many brought gloves and it was pretty expensive

In the end, we all went for skating and had a great time. I actually learnt how to skate and DID NOT FALL. My thanks go to Krystle and Joan for taking their time to teach me (: We later sung a happy birthday song for the 3 musketeers and headed off for some Starbucks! We also had a gospel meeting in church with a lesson by Bro. Ron Gilbert from USA.
Later in the night, we all wished happy birthday to Christine for it was officially her birthday! Not forgetting to mention, Sam and I had more late-night DotA (:

- 21st -
Today, Christine and I visited the Atria Shopping Mall to check out a blood donation drive organized by the DU congregation. The good news was, we met up with Eunice and many other youths. The bad news was that we didn't have much time to spend with them. There was a pretty good response from the public and also from church members, kudos to the DU congregation for their tireless efforts! The best part of the day was during Christine's mini birthday party where I was fortunate enough to taste Aunty Shirley's Oreo cheesecake. She totally beats Secret Recipe (:

- 22nd -
Oh how time flies when you're having fun (: today, 3 youths were fortunate enough to have a special art class with Sis. Caroline from USA. Wen Liang, Christine and I stayed back after lunch to learn how to paint from her. We later head back home where I had to single-handedly help Christine out with her tuition work. All Wen Liang could do was sit down there and blabber the whole time, haha (; anyway, time was running short and my hour of departure drew nearer. Soon, I bade farewell to Christine, Aunty Tina and Bro. Chan Koon as they had to leave early to attend a dinner in Klang. Sam later brought me out for dinner at a nearby mamak after my final DotA game (:
After all is said and done, I did have a wonderful time in KL and I will come back up one day (:

Taylor's University College Trip!

Me and my school buddies had a whole lotta fun today when we paid(yeah 10 bucks) a visit to Taylor's University College in Subang Jaya. Our trip started off at 7 a.m when our bus left for the venue. We then joined the MGSS school bus which was waiting for us at the toll. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Mr. Michael Yii and an unknown pretty lady (: we then had some talks and lectures about courses and study skills. Soon after, we were divided into groups and played an Explorace game which required us to hunt for answers around the campus. Tired and hungry, we had our FREE lunch in the cafeteria. There was a bit of drama as SOMEONE apparently greeted me but sadly I didn't hear her(guys, I REALLY REALLY didn't) and completely and totally ignored her. Of course, the usual boos, blaas and aiyoos came from the guys. As a man, I, of course apologized (: With our stomachs filled....we took off to Sunway Pyramid! It was interesting to see how ALL the girls brought extra clothing and changed before departure. Culture shock (:

We had 3 hours to 'cuci mata'( i dont know what that means) and hang around. Joel met up with his cuzzie, Elaine and the rest of her gang, consisting of pineapple girl, Esther, Shir Ling and ermm..Elaine? Anyway, we walked aimlessly around, did some window shopping and disturbed people for 3 hours.

After all is said and done, I certainly had fun today! My apologies once more for not greeting pineapple girl, she seemed a bit emo -.-

To a friend of mine (:

It is said, ask and it shall be given. So then, here's a tribute to a dear friend of mine!

As sweet as ice cream, as lovely as a rose,
As pleasant as a dream, as velvety as pillows,
As delightful as a candy, as delicious as Oreos,

Who can this be, oh who knows?

Down in the city, along the narrow street,
Stood a young lady, no taller than 6 feet,
She smiled at me, she said hello,
Who can this be, oh I don't know.

Yellow was her shirt, her jeans a pale blue,
How are you she added, she shook my hand too,
I looked at her closely, I've seen this fellow
Who can this be, oh I think I know.

My name is Eunice, Eunice Quay,
I am Alvin, how are you today?
I'm fine thank you, do I know you?
No you don't, but now you do!

She loves to gossip, she loves to pose,
She's thinks deep, she loves photos,
She says please, she say
s thank you,
Her name is Eunice, this one is for you!

p.s - I did find a 'worthy' pic (:
