English Week 2009!

Another year has passed and it was time for my organizing committees and I to do our work again, handling the English Week 2009! This year was considerably fantastic in terms of fun-ness and stupidity :D esp the debate!
We started off with Story Telling for the Form 1's. We watched them tremble in fear as they murmured the words weakly to the mike. I could smell and see the fear in their eyes(and legs). On Tuesday, we then had the Spelling Bee competition organized solely for the Form 2's. We were quite surprised when they could spell words like..exacerberscence, firth, oppugnant and other ridiculously difficult words. The next day, we had a drama competition, the highlight of the English Week. It was a memorable event as teams geared up in their costumes and gave us a spectacular show on stage. However, there was an outstanding team, team 4H who effortlessly made the whole hall erupt with laughter in almost every scene! Kudos to you guys :D Finally, we had the debate competition today. It was more of a comedy sitcom than a parlimentary style debate. Team 5H(YEAH!) totally and deliberately crushed 5P without a trace of mercy. However, it was easily the best time of the week as we all had a good laugh(I almost fell off my chair :D).

The end of another epic story

He donned a bleached singlet and a pair of faded shorts. Sitting down on two pillows on a swivel-chair he thought of the manner of words he would punch out on his keyboard. He stared at the 4-cornered screen with a pool of thoughts stirring in his intriguing mind. He was blogging past bedtime. He was being nagged at by his mom(and dad). He didn't really adhere to their words as the completion of his exclusive post stood still a strong figure in his list of priorities. He started to figure out he was writing crap and he decided to skip to the main topic at hand.

Yup, I've just completed a book and oh yes, I do enjoy reading every word of it.
A Prisoner of Birth is a modern day marvel to amateur readers like me who seldom pick up books. Highly recommended. There's no doubt anyone and everyone will enjoy reading Jeffery Archer's geniusly written masterpieces.

Today

I guess I really have nothing interesting to update(as requested :D), so I guess I'll just have to say something bout happened today =.= to keep my blog alive..haha :D
Church was as usual, but we had a TRILINGUAL session today. Yes you heard me right, 3 languages in one worship session! Come down to Malacca CoC if you wanna experience this unique multilingual worship service! English, Chinese and BM, our latest addition! We later had our business meeting and wanted to go for lunch at Friends Cafe(Jonah's bright idea) after it. Upon arrival, we read the 'Open from 3pm-1am' sign with broken hearts, sadly, we settled for a humble lunch at a nearby 'ah pek kopitiam'. Tuition was a total torture as we had to endure almost 3 hours of blabbering and information transfer =.= I had went for my evening jog and saw some girls playing basketball. They looked more like guys than girls =.= none of them had short hair and none of them were shorter than me! Well, I now find myself blogging here without taking my shower :p

I just realised...I can't leave pen spinning! Oh how I tried, but nothing worked. It's like your hubby, or dear, you just can't live without it :D so I will continue spinning..until the cows come home (: I guess locking her up in my drawer didn't work :/ shud have swallowed the keys haha!

An old fart

What a day it turned out to be when I stepped into the bus to return home. I looked into my wallet to pay for the bus fee and all I had was 3 RM10 notes. I pulled one out and I didn't notice there was an old man, easily 80, beside me...

Alvin: Oh dang, no small change *Pulls out RM 10 note*
Old fart: HEY! You got a 10 ringgit note? Whoa, during my time that would be 50 cents!

Haha, for those of you who don't know I'm currently engaged with my new darling! Her name is Eliana and she's just the cutest thing on Earth, nothing beats her cuteness (: not even the cute big-eyed cats in the alleys haha. Not even those lovely puppies you see in 'help me' boxes!

Today was my first day of school after recovering from my recent fever-o-mania. It seems I found out that my class can really become a teevee sitcom as we have a bunch of hilarious jokers, especially our superstar, Augustin Shii!

The night of my life!

Oh yes, we all had fun (: Franciscans Night was a HUGE success and I can't be more proud of what my school has achieved! Most of the performances were awesome and electrifying, especially, ahem, the 24 season drums! We really rocked the hall with claps of thunder and an eye-blinding flurry of moves! Sad to say, the drummers couldn't stay to watch as we had to carry the drums back to school. Tired and exhausted, we slumped back into the hall just in time to see the band finish its last song. I didn't really enjoy most of the performances coz' I've seen them many times during rehearsals and practices in school, but anyway, I did enjoy the drama as it was the powerhouse of the whole show! You could hear a pin drop when they were speaking and and roars of laughter while the jokes were on!
Later on in the lobby, I met up with some of my old friends. Those that I can remember include, Amanda(btw, i didn't forget you), Yap Han Shawn(dude you're friggingggggg tall!), Lim Tse Shaun, and Yeh Yee (:
After lazing around, I wandered around aimlessly hoping to spot a group which I can join in. Fortunately, Gavin(the gay :p) and friends were kind enough to accept me into their little entourage for some supper. What luck, we met our principal, Mr Ong while waiting for food! Later on, I had more supper with Fiona and gang where I met up with 2 new people, Ruby and..er...erm...Bee Ling...? Haha, sorry I can't remember your name! After discussing some very interesting topics..very very interesting..I had to leave the girls for home as I needed to get up early the next day. I wasn't surprised to see Jonah's bike at school though, hehe.
Truly, this is a night worth remembering!

Hmm, this dude here..is one of my closest friends and he's a really nice guy! Sorry girls, he's unavailable now (: he's always unavailable btw. Oh yeah, he's also good looking, vertically extended and tanned(tall, dark and handsome in short). I guess he emos alot, as Krystle said, in a retarded way! and he's a also a great leader! He's got lotsa charisma too, effortlessly making him a girl magnet haha! and he's always cooking up some un-lame jokes which comes with some LAME moves time after time!
But whatever he does best, he does it as a friend. And that makes him a great one.
Ouh, I'm getting all sentimental now haha.

What a day!

Phew, time really flies when you're in my shoes. One second you're eating grass after being pulled on a rope by a bunch of half-giant-half-men and the next you're having a thousand body aches and your add maths teacher is drilling a hole through your head with words and numbers alone.
Oh well, so much for teenage life :p
For the past few days, we had inter-house tug of war competitions and I have to say, I DO NOT enjoy it. Reasons being :
1. I don't like eating grass
2. My hands get rope burns after each bout.
3. My ribs, oh my ribs...they hurt like HELL

Unfortunately, we carried out the final rehearsal for Franciscan Night and I had to do the carry-a-25kg-drum-all-the-way-up-to-EQ-hotel feat. No, EQ does not mean Eunice Quay (: mind you, Equatorial Hotel is bout a 20 seconds walk from my school without a drum and 10 MINUTES with a drum. Whats more, I was given the order to literally destroy my drum. The drama continues outside the hotel where I chased my bus with a bag full of books. Walking from the bus stop felt like dragging my own corpse with one hand and fighting the temptation to stop and lie on the sun-scorched, dirty, full-of-poo road. Not nice. I dropped dead on my bed after pushing my legs through the final lap of the race up the stairs. And now, here I am sitting down blogging my time off!
Tonight, we're soooooo gonna bring the house down! Oops, I mean hotel (:
